Aspiring Security Guards in California:
Please be aware that before enrolling in our courses, you must first complete the initial 8-hour training requirement, which includes the "Power to Arrest" (3 Hours) and "Appropriate Use of Force" (5 Hours) courses, with an authorized trainer or training school to obtain your BSIS guard card. This is a prerequisite to licensing.
What comes next? After obtaining your guard card, our online courses are mandatory for continuing education. These courses are required to maintain your license and stay compliant with state regulations.

California BSIS Annual Security Officer Refresher - 8 Hours

Complete this course,
keep a printed copy of your training certificate, and
provide a copy to your employer.

The CA Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (B.S.I.S.) requires all Security Guards be licensed in the State of California and complete 8 hours renewal training each year.

California Harassment Prevention Training - (2-Hour) Supervisor Version

California employers with 5 or more employees are required by law to provide 2 hours of sexual harassment prevention training to all supervisors and 1 hour of such training to nonsupervisory employees before January 1, 2021. Training must take place within 6 months of hire or promotion and every 2 years thereafter.

This 2-hour course complies with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing guidelines of sexual harassment prevention training for supervisors in conjunction with CA SB 1343.
